The Maksimir Football Stadium is located in the eastern part of the city, opposite Maksimir Park. The stadium was officially opened on 5 May 1912. It has been renovated several times, so today the stadium has four stands marked north, east, west and south. All places are seated.
During the major renovation in 2011, conditions for spectators were significantly improved. New, more comfortable seats were installed, and for better comfort, the seats were spaced further apart. Further reconstruction also envisages covering part of the stands.
