Aldo Drosina Stadium Pula

Aldo Drosina Stadium is the city stadium in Pula. The stadium in Pula is named after the legend of Pula football, who later also became a coach, Aldo Drosina. The clubs NK Istra 1961 and NK Istra Pula play their home matches there.

The contract for the renovation of the stadium was signed on 16 February 2009, in order to meet all the criteria of the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) and UEFA. According to the plan, a new west stand was built during the renovation of the stadium. The capacity of the stadium increased to 9,000 seats. Besides the new stand, the stadium also got floodlights, making it possible to play night matches. A modern video wall gives spectators a clear view, and after the renovation the stadium also became a candidate for hosting matches of the Croatian national football team.

Besides the main stadium, auxiliary pitches with artificial turf were also arranged.

The stadium was officially opened with a friendly match between Croatia and the Czech Republic, which ended with a score of 4:2.
