Ručica and Beritnica Beaches

Beaches Ručica and Beritnica are beautiful beaches in the town of Metajna in the central bay on the island of Pag. To reach Ručica you need to go through Metajna, and two paths lead to the beach itself, both passable by car. One is asphalted, and a rather narrow path that leads through reeds. To get there by this path you need to turn left right at the entrance to Metajna. If you go through the whole village, a wild gravel-rocky path leads you to the beach, which is passable enough for a car. You can park your car about 200 metres from the beach and continue on foot.

Ručica Beach, Pag

Ručica is a semi-wild sandy-pebbly beach. In terms of facilities, there is just one bar on the beach where you can get refreshments, and a few rubbish bins

There is a view of the town of Pag from the beach. The beach is surrounded by untouched nature and is breathtaking. The entry into the sea is gentle, and the sea is a beautiful turquoise colour. There is no vegetation on the beach, so there is no shade; you can protect yourself from the sun by bringing a parasol and applying plenty of sunscreen. The beach is suitable for children.

Beritinica Metajna Pag

Beritinica (or, as the sign says, Berekinica) is a beach about 500-600 metres from Ručica. It is completely wild; apart from walking, it can only be reached by boat (some islanders ferry tourists to the beach, probably from the town of Pag). The path from Ručica to Beritinica itself offers a special experience and is recommended for everyone. To reach Beritinica you need to walk, or rather hike, for about 30 minutes through an incredible landscape without any vegetation, with beautiful rock formations. Arriving at the beach itself is something special. Three large rock formations rising from the sea in a beautiful sandy-pebbly bay are among the most beautiful things you will see.

Even in the middle of the season, Ručica is not overly crowded due to the large size of the beach and its distance from larger towns, while Beritnica is guaranteed to have no crowds at all - in fact, there is a good chance this beautiful beach will be all yours.
