Beaches in Preko – Ugljan Island

In the town of Preko on the island of Ugljan you can find a large number of beaches and small beaches suitable for all ages. The main beach in the town is Jaz Beach, which holds a Blue Flag thanks to the cleanliness of its sea and the facilities near the beach. Besides Jaz Beach, there are smaller beaches: Sveti Ante, Bilišće, Magazin, Svitla and Željina. An unmissable spot for all bathers in Preko is the islet of Galevac, only about 600 metres in circumference and around 80 metres from the shore, which is no problem even for weaker swimmers, since in one part it is shallow enough to wade across. On Galevac there is a Franciscan monastery of St Paul with a church dating from the 15th century.
