Church of St. George (Our Lady of Health), Brela

The church of Our Lady of Health, also called the church of St. George, stands above Subotište in Gornja Brela, in Split-Dalmatia County. It shows visitors what a modest village church in the Dalmatian Baroque looked like.

It is a single-nave building without an apse, executed in the rustic forms of the Dalmatian Baroque. It was vaulted with a pointed vault that is now partly collapsed. On the south facade are the entrance door with monolithic jambs and a lintel on which the year 1751 is carved. The gable roof is now covered with concrete, and earlier it was covered with stone slabs, while the facades were plastered.

The church is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-4938.
