Church of St. Elijah, Brela

The church of St. Elijah is located in Potpoletnica, in Brela, in Split-Dalmatia County, on the plateau of an oval hillock that is probably the remnant of a prehistoric hillfort. It offers visitors a modest example of a pilgrimage-type church.

It is a single-nave building with a rectangular apse and a wooden gable roof. On the main facade are the door, above which is a square opening with diagonally crossed stone slabs, and in the gable is an arched bell gable with a bell. It is a simple pilgrimage church that bears the hallmarks of modest rural architecture of the 18th century, so it fits nicely into the surrounding landscape.

The church is a protected cultural good and is entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-4869.
