Brseč is a settlement in the municipality of Mošćenička Draga, in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, with a strong identity of historic core and landscape. For visitors it is interesting because the core has retained its medieval layout and a series of notable buildings, and the first confirmation of the settlement dates from the 13th century.
It has been inhabited since prehistory, and the first written trace is recorded in 1342, when it was annexed to the County of Pazin. According to the Urbar of 1498 it had the status of a castle with a fortress on the border with Venetian possessions. In the tight medieval grid the bell tower and the church of St. George stand out, as well as the town loggia, the remains of the town rampart and residential and public buildings: Toš, Manšunerija, Kaštel, Kučić's house, the school with a cistern and the birthplace of Eugen Kumičić.
A protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-2692.
