The Rossini House in Frane Divnića street in Šibenik is in fact a complex of three buildings. It is interesting to a visitor because it shows how a building in the old town changed over centuries.
The complex arose over a long time, from the Romanesque to the Baroque and more recent alterations. The eastern three-storey part, the Rossini house itself, has a four-sided wooden roof of curved pantiles and is taller than the others. Because of frequent alterations its stonework is varied. On the ground floor are newer shop openings, and in place of the door with the Gothic rod motif traces of the arch of the original Romanesque door can be seen. On the first floor three Romanesque windows are walled up; the two outer ones have Romanesque window sills, and in their place simple windows have been opened.
The complex is a protected cultural good and is entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-2041.
