The church of the Holy Cross is located in Šibenik, in Šibenik-Knin County, and is valuable for its furnishings and its ceiling. It holds a collection of works of art and valuable archival material, so it is of interest to lovers of the Baroque.
It was built between 1605 and 1608 to a design by the Baroque woodcarver Jeronim Mondella, and was built by Antun Nogulović. The bell tower was erected at the end of the 18th century. Stylistically it is Renaissance-Baroque and is properly oriented. Its south wall leans against the hall of the confraternity of St. Mark. It is a single-nave longitudinal building with a square apse that takes up the whole width of the nave, and inside a wooden coffered ceiling stands out. It is built of stone, unplastered on the outside, with a roof of channel tiles. On the facade there are a pronounced profiled portal with a pediment, two rosette windows and a relief of the Crucifixion with 12 figures of saints.
The church is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-5201.
