The church of St Joseph is located in Dubrovnik's street Od Puča. It is interesting because it was created after the great earthquake and because it is connected with Dubrovnik's craftsmen.
It was built in 1668 on the site of the church of St James od Puča, built in 1299, which was destroyed in the earthquake of 1667. It was built by the confraternity of carpenters. It is Baroque with classicist elements, with an elongated ground plan and without a prominent apse, oriented south-north. The façade with a statue of St Joseph and a rosette ends in a triple-arched bell gable. The main one faces Ulica od Puča, on the west side a narrow passage separates it from a Baroque palace, and to the east is Ulica Vrata Celenga.
The church is a protected cultural good and is entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-6490.
