The church of St George stands on Jurjevo brdo, which overlooks the Nerežišća field from the north. It is interesting for its position and pre-Romanesque architecture.
The single-nave little church with a semicircular apse dates from the 11th century, built of irregular stone and covered with stone slabs. The exterior walls are enlivened by shallow niches and lesenes. Above the door is a perforated lunette, and on each side a niche with an arched termination. Inside, transverse ribs divide the space into three bays, and the side walls are shaped by niches and pilasters. On the altar is a relief of St George slaying the dragon, attributed to the Brač sculptor Nikola Lazanić from the second half of the 16th century.
The church is a protected cultural good and is entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-4451.
