Church of St Helen, Škrip

The parish church of St Helen the Crusader stands on the field beside the Cerinić manor in Škrip, one of the oldest settlements on the island.

In the second half of the 18th century a new church was built in the spirit of provincial Baroque. It is single-nave, with an elongated rectangular apse, and both outside and inside it is of fine ashlar. The façade ends in a gable with a curved line, and above the monumental portal is a niche with a stone baldachin and a statue of the Mother of God. The interior with a flat ceiling is divided by shallow pilasters with altar niches containing late Renaissance wooden altars.

The church is a protected cultural good and is entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-1559.
