The little church of St Vitus in Seget Gornji, not far from Trogir, preserves two epochs in the same building. For a visitor it is also interesting because of the old cemetery that surrounds it.
The church is Romanesque, from the 13th century, and contains within it pre-Romanesque layers from the 10th century. It is single-nave, of stone, with a rectangular apse, bare walls and a wooden roof with stone slabs. On the portal is a pre-Romanesque lintel with three incised Latin crosses; the former hanging arch has been reshaped into a shallow, roughly built porch. Two brackets have crosses incised on them, and on the northern one is written IOANES. Around the little church lies a late medieval cemetery with tombstones and stećci decorated with reliefs and drawings.
The church with its cemetery is a protected cultural good and is entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-4569.
