The Providur's Palace is adjoined to the Duke's Palace, and together they form a single historic setting right in the centre of the Old Town. They are located in Zadar, and both buildings are in use and open to guests for a variety of events.
The Duke's Palace was built in the 13th century, and the Providur's Palace was later (in the 17th century) built adjoining it.
These two palaces served as the seat of the provincial government for Dalmatia within the Austrian part of the dual monarchy.
The Duke's Palace was the cultural centre of Zadar. Throughout its history it was damaged, but it has been fully restored, so today you can enjoy this small piece of Croatian history. Guests can view exhibitions, enjoy concert performances, or admire the works of various artists.

The Providur's Palace, unlike the Duke's Palace, has not yet been fully restored, but plans for its restoration exist, and we hope for a restoration in the near future. Tourists who come to Zadar will be able to enjoy the city's old-time values in the best possible way, as will the people of Zadar, of course.
Everyone who loves history and art should come to Zadar and enjoy what we have to offer.
