In the coastal part of the settlement of Duba Pelješka, in the municipality of Trpanj in Dubrovnik-Neretva County, stands the church of St. Margaret. It is interesting to visitors exploring Pelješac because traces of several periods can be seen in its walls.
It is a single-nave building of elongated rectangular floor plan with a rectangular sanctuary and a facade facing west. The facade is capped by a bell gable decorated with volutes and an acroterion. It is built of roughly worked ashlars, and irregularities in the courses show several building phases. Built into the east wall of the apse is an early Christian relief fragment with a cross with flared arms, probably from the ancient site of Dionica, 200 meters to the west. The nave has a pointed vault and the sanctuary a barrel vault. The altar retable with a painted stucco relief is valuable, an example of folk expression of the 18th century. To the south is an enclosed cemetery, once larger, and of the old gravestones one with a shield remains. The church is of late medieval origin.
The church is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-4925.
