The small church of St. Maurus stands southwest of the village of Žedno, in the town of Trogir. For visitors it is interesting because inside the later-remodeled church the remains of Romanesque arcades can still be seen.

It was most probably built in the 13th century. Later reconstructions changed its appearance, but in the interior parts of the older Romanesque church are preserved, namely blind arcades. The building is rectangular, with a semicircular apse and a bell gable, and recently a porch was added to its facade. It is a modest village church that survived changes of styles and remained part of the landscape of the Trogir hinterland.

The church is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code RST-138, rj.br.: 35/160-1963.

Data: Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia (Ministry of Culture and Media), Open Licence; coordinates: DGU (centre of the settlement).
