The Lavdir site, also known as Ivernić, extends across Malo polje in Seget Donji, in the municipality of Seget, in Split-Dalmatia County. It offers visitors a rare combination of an early medieval chapel and traces of a Roman agricultural estate, so several periods can be followed in a small space.
The Church of St Michael is a single-nave early medieval building with a rectangular apse. The apse stands almost to roof height, while of the nave only the foundation trace has survived. The arch of the altar screen bearing the name of St Michael is now kept in the Trogir Town Museum, and according to sources it comes from this very spot, which is why the literature regards it as pre-Romanesque. The surroundings were fully investigated by 2015. Along the walls and beneath the foundations, ancient architectural remains and movable finds were discovered, from which it is concluded that the church was built on part of a Roman villa rustica. This is confirmed by the numerous spolia and pottery fragments built into the surrounding dry-stone walls.
The site is a protected cultural property and is entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-6806.
