On a pass in the hills above Komiža on the island of Vis, in Split-Dalmatia County, stands the church of St Michael. It is interesting to visitors as an old Benedictine church with Romanesque roots.

It was built in the 12th century as the church of the Benedictine monastery of St Sylvester on Biševo. It was renovated and partly Baroquised in the 18th century. It is single-nave, with a quadrangular apse, and the main façade faces west and carries a bell gable. It is built of ashlar bonded with wide joints. Inside, lesenes with blind arches have been partly preserved.

The church is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-5353. The period from the 12th to the 18th century is mentioned.
