The little church of St Andrew on the island of Sveti, in the municipality of Komiža, is the remnant of a medieval Benedictine monastery and an important trace of monastic life on remote islets.
The monastery is mentioned in the 13th century, and the church was built on the site of a pre-Romanesque one. Its present form dates from the 18th century. The façade faces south; the building is single-nave, with a semicircular apse and a bell gable. The bell with an inscription from 1524 is decorated with a shallow Renaissance relief. In the church is the remnant of a stone statue of St Andrew, broken into three pieces and completely eaten away by salt.
The church is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-5857.
