The Blaca House is located on the northern edge of Nerežišća on Brač, and bears witness to the economic strength of the famous Blaca Hermitage. This enclosed farm complex shows how oil, wine and honey were traded in the 18th century.
The complex was built in the 18th century for the occasional stay of the priests of the Blaca Hermitage and the managers of their estates in what was then the administrative centre of the island. It was also used to store oil, wine and honey that were loaded onto ships in the harbour of Supetar. A wide entrance with a stone lintel and a medallion with a relief IHS leads into a square courtyard. Beside the entrance is a residential two-storey building with a high attic, and in the north a building with a portico on the ground floor and an apartment on the upper floor. The houses are connected by a masonry passage with arches. In the east are a terrace with a cistern and a large single-storey farm building, and in the north a spacious farmyard.
The complex is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-5892.
