The mills at Pantan near Trogir stand by the sea and are proof that a real small industry once operated here. Visitors will find them interesting because they connect milling, cloth fulling and ship traffic.
They were built in the 16th century, and in their present form they were completed in 1585 by Francesco Musto. The complex is rectangular, with a two-storey tower in the middle, and the main façade faces south. The courtyard wall was built in 1791; the courtyard is now covered with a wooden roof and curved pantiles, with a glazed central part through which light enters. At the western end is a fulling stamp for cloth from the 19th century, and on the south side of the tower a mole for mooring ships was added in 1778. Above the door of the tower is a relief of a Venetian lion with an inscription about the building and coats of arms.
The mills are a protected cultural good and are entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-5103.
