The Abbess's House in Kaštel Gomilica stands against the south wall of the Kaštilac fortress, founded in 1545 by Benedictine nuns. It is interesting to visitors as a glimpse into the life of a monastery estate on the Kaštela coast. It belongs to the municipality of Kaštela in Split-Dalmatia County.
Originally the house was a single-storey building, and the nuns used it as a cellar. Between 1726 and 1753 a one-storey Baroque building was erected on this site, which has retained its original appearance to this day. The ground plan is irregular, T-shaped, and the roof is gabled. In the second half of the 20th century an olive oil mill operated in it.
The building is part of the sacred-secular architectural heritage and is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-3578.
