Trsat Cemetery is a cultural and historical complex in Rijeka, in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. It is of interest to visitors as a monument of landscape architecture and as a place where well-known figures from Croatian and Rijeka history rest.
The cemetery was opened on 3 June 1901 on a high-quality regulation plan, and over time it has blended harmoniously into the residential area. The horticultural design, the greenery among the tombs, is regarded as an important monument of landscape architecture. Many tombs were made to designs by distinguished Croatian, Rijeka and Sušak architects and sculptors, among whom Rendić, Emili, Kolacio and Sila are cited. Persons significant for Croatian and local history are also buried here, for example Trnski, Ramous, Turković and Klen.
Trsat Cemetery is a protected cultural good and is entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-2726. It belongs to memorial heritage.
