The Church of St Martin is located in the village of Dubrava in Zagreb County. It is a small chapel, but it preserves the remains of a Gothic parish church, so it is of interest to visitors drawn to medieval traces and wall paintings.
The original Gothic parish church is mentioned in 1315, and only its sanctuary has survived to the present day. It was destroyed by the Turks, restored in the middle of the 17th century, and partly demolished in 1819, after which the present chapel came into being. It is of smaller dimensions, with a rectangular ground plan and a polygonal apse. Today it has a flat ceiling, but it was originally covered by a Gothic rib vault, as confirmed by parts of the ribs and the vault springers. The triumphal arch and medieval pointed-arch window niches with openings have also been preserved. On the wall at the back of the sanctuary and in the window niches, valuable Gothic wall painting with figures of saints has been uncovered.
The church is a protected cultural good and is entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-2301.
