Baredine Cave is a protected geomorphological natural monument and the first speleological site in Istria arranged for tourist visits. The cave is located near the village of Nova Vas, between Poreč, Višnjan and Tar. The site was opened in 1995. This cave is a treasury of stalactites and stalagmites, underground sculptures created by the patient work of water over the course of decades. The paved path is about 300-odd metres long and is divided into 5 chambers, for which about 30 minutes is allowed, accompanied by a guide. If you are lucky, you may see the olm, an endemic species that lives in the cave. The depth of the cave is 132 metres.
