Umag Town Museum – Museo Civico di Umago

The Umag Town Museum, in Italian Museo Civico di Umago, is situated in the historical and cultural core of the town of Umag, on St Martin's Square, inside a medieval defensive tower from the 14th century, believed to be the oldest historic building in Umag still in use. The museum was founded not long ago, in 2000, and covers an area of 180 m². The museum's summer opening hours run from the beginning of June to the end of September, Tuesday to Saturday: 10-13 and 18-21; Sundays: 10-13, while the winter opening hours, from the beginning of January to the end of May and from the beginning of October to the end of December, are Tuesday to Wednesday 10-12; Thursday and Friday 10-12 and 17-20; Saturday and Sunday: 10-13.



The Umag Town Museum's vision is to provide continuous care for the cultural heritage within the community of the Town of Umag. It develops projects for the preservation, valorisation and presentation of cultural heritage as part of projects of strategic interest for the Town of Umag.

Photography is not allowed inside the museum, so as a souvenir of your visit you can buy museum publications and souvenirs.
