Diving in Pula – Dive Sites and Shipwrecks

Pula is, due to its large number of reefs and wrecks, one of the best locations for diving in Istria, and consequently there is also a large range of diving centres offering various programmes. If you don't have time for diving courses, which last several days, you can dive at shallow depths without a course. For greater depths, you need to complete a course, which usually lasts 3 to 5 days, depending on which certificate you want to obtain and to what depth you want to dive.

If you have completed a diving course, you can explore the wrecks near Pula. The most popular wrecks are the Italian minesweeper Giuseppe Dezza, which was built in 1913 and sunk in 1944, a tugboat sunk in the 1960s, a German submarine sunk at the end of World War II, and the Italian ship Flamingo, built back in 1889.
