Museum of the City of Crikvenica

The Museum of the City of Crikvenica is a public institution, founded in 2008 by the City of Crikvenica. The museum works with the main task and with the aim to collect, preserve, document, study and present cultural heritage from the area of ​​the City of Crikvenica, and its surroundings. MGC is a local, complex museum that collects objects that depict life in the City from prehistoric times until the end of the 20th century.

In short, the task of the Museum is to study the past, taking care of the objects that document that past, and finally and in the best way to present to the citizens interesting details of the common past.

Today the museum enriches its historical, cultural and tourist offer. Due to the lack of adequate museum material, the Museum still does not have the possibility to establish a permanent museum exhibit.

Nevertheless, the value of the Museum is obvious to both the city and the citizens of Crikvenica. It is a historical cultural and tourist center of the City. The Museum of the City of Crikvenica, through its activities and cooperation with individuals, associations, local institutions, scientific institutions and other museums, wants to recognize and present the values ​​of the cultural heritage of this community, thus making it recognizable in the image of Croatia.

Tuesday - Sunday 10 am - 2 pm
