The remains of the Church of St Nicholas lie in a drmun (a cleared agricultural plot) south of the settlement of Strilčić on the island of Krk, in the municipality of Malinska-Dubašnica, in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. Beside the former road that linked Dubašnica via the village of Vrh with the town of Krk, the remains are interesting to anyone who likes to explore abandoned medieval chapels.
The church is sometimes confused in the literature with the chapel of the same name belonging to the Zuttinis family near Skrpčići. The spacious rectangular nave was covered with a gabled roof, as was the rectangular sanctuary with a rib vault. The ribs have disappeared, but corbels in the form of inverted cones survive, and the vault of vertically set stone slabs mostly still stands. Of the triumphal arch a smaller southern part remains, and of the outer mantle almost nothing except the east end and the north wall of the apse. In the interior remains of several layers of plaster can be seen with traces of pigment, and several consecration crosses. Judging by the regularly coursed ashlar blocks and the vaulted sanctuary, the church was probably built on the model of urban Frankopan buildings. It dates from the 14th to the 15th century.
The remains are a protected cultural property, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-6791.
