Church of St Clement, Pražnica

East of Pražnica on the island of Brač stands the small pre-Romanesque Church of St Clement. It is interesting because it was once the cemetery church of the medieval settlement of Straževnik. It belongs to the municipality of Pučišća in Split-Dalmatia County.

It has a single nave, a square apse and a roof of stone slabs. Inside is a barrel vault with transverse arches, and the side walls are divided by three blind arches each. On the altar is a Renaissance relief of Pope St Clement from 1535. Above the entrance is a hanging arch covered by a gabled stone roof, which gives the entrance an unusual appearance.

The church is a protected cultural property, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-4573.
