The church of Our Lady of Consolation is located in the cemetery in Pučišća on the island of Brač. It is interesting because it contains an early Christian apse and a baptistery from the 6th century. It belongs to the municipality of Pučišća in Split-Dalmatia County.
Originally it was dedicated to St Stephen. The early Christian apse with three windows and stone transennae has been preserved almost to its full height. In the pre-Romanesque remodelling the church was shortened and received blind arches that support the vault. In the 18th century the Augustinians enlarged it with a spacious nave in the west. On the south side of the present building an early Christian baptistery with a cruciform piscina has been preserved. The building thus bears witness to a long period, from the 6th to the 18th century.
The church is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-3826.
