Church of St Cyprian in the Cemetery, Pražnica

In Pražnica on the island of Brač, in the municipality of Pučišća, in the local cemetery stands the church of St Cyprian. For lovers of late medieval art, the 15th-century stone triptych is interesting.

The local cemetery in Pražnica holds a little church from the late Middle Ages, created in the 14th or 15th century. It has one nave, a semicircular apse and plastered exterior walls, and the pointed vault and gentle Gothic atmosphere are felt only inside. Attention is drawn by a stone relief in three fields, with a triangular pediment, placed on the masonry altar in 1467; it is attributed to the circle of the workshop of Nikola Firentinac. Beside the church several modest slabs from graves of the same period have also remained.

The church is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-5005. It is located in Split-Dalmatia County.
