Rural Ensemble of Marasovići, Starigrad

The hamlet of Marasovići is located at the entrance to the Paklenica canyon, in the municipality of Starigrad in Zadar County. Hikers and visitors to Paklenica National Park can see a traditional complex here at the foot of Velebit.

The ensemble consists of several houses, single-storey and two-storey, lined up mostly in a row. The houses are enclosed by high courtyard walls with notable entrance gates. On some houses and walls there are modest elements of historicism, reminiscent of a provincial version of the Baroque, which is especially pronounced in the volutes above the courtyard doors. The hamlet is dated from the 18th to the 20th century.

The ensemble is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-4591.
