Villa Rustica at Bunje, Novo Selo

The villa rustica at Bunje is located in Novo Selo, in the municipality of Selca, Split-Dalmatia County. For visitors it is interesting as a Roman farm estate at the foot of the prehistoric settlement on the Gračišće hill, at the edge of a fertile field.

Remains of walls and smaller rooms with semicircular ends, covered with a white mosaic, have been preserved. Barrel-vaulted cisterns and parts of a developed farm were uncovered. Alongside graves and vaulted tombs, two sarcophagi with a Christogram on the acroterion were found, which points to the Christian period of the estate.

The site is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-4929.
