Mutvoran is a fortified settlement in the municipality of Marčana in Istria County. Visitors here can see walls that arose in prehistory, and in the Middle Ages the settlement appears on lists of disputed boundaries.
It is known as a hillfort settlement with walls from the Bronze and Iron Ages, while finds from antiquity are rare. In 1150 it is mentioned in boundary disputes as Castrum Mons Marianus. Some of today's houses and the parish church of St. Mary Magdalene date from the Renaissance. The church is a hall church with a flat rear wall, with three deep apses covered by a barrel vault, which were later walled up and turned into sacristies, and the bell tower is integrated into the facade. The visible parts of the triple town gate or tower and the walls are built of finely dressed ashlars regularly laid.
The ensemble is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-2988.
