Talijanova buža is an underground Roman aqueduct in Novalja, in Lika-Senj County, and one of the few ancient structures in Croatia preserved almost in its entirety. For visitors it is a chance to peek into the engineering of the ancient Romans.
The aqueduct runs in a northeast-southwest direction through the Močišćak hill and connects the Novalja field with the harbor in Novalja. For the most part it is cut into living rock, it is 1042 meters long and about 0.60 meters wide, and its height varies in places. It was built in the 1st century AD, probably as part of a complex system that connected the Kolan field, Caska, the Novalja field and Novalja. It brought drinking water to the town, and also served the ceramic workshops and the supply of the harbor and ships.
It is a cultural good of exceptional value, unique in Croatia. It is protected and entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-5746.
