The hillock of Mratin is located in the hamlet of Kampuš in Žrnovo, in the town of Korčula, in Dubrovnik-Neretva County. It offers visitors the picture of a quiet rise with cypresses and olive trees and a church on top.
The hillock is planted with cypresses and olive trees, partly covered with Aleppo pine and maquis. At the top are the church of St. Martin and the bell tower, set on an oval plateau enclosed by a dry-stone wall. Their central position is further emphasized by the junction of three original Žrnovo paths. Near the church stand the parish house, the confraternity house, the building of the Korčula-Lastovo Archive Collection Center, the former elementary school, and the remains of a 17th-century residential house. The area combines landscape and architectural design with sacred and secular buildings, and the church with its bell tower is a recognizable sign of the hillock and of the whole settlement, as an example of a monumental sacred building in a rural setting.
The ensemble is a protected cultural good and is entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-6770.
