Brzac is a small village on the island of Krk in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, which arose in the 15th century. It is suitable for those who want to see a traditional livestock-farming and agricultural settlement with stone houses, animal sheds and circular threshing floors.
The origin of the village is tied to the arrival of Croats and Vlachs from Velebit in the area of today's Dubašnica and Poljica. The settlement is loosely clustered, and the homesteads combine residential and farm buildings. The houses are stone ground-floor or single-storey buildings, with living quarters upstairs and the konoba below. Above it are stone vaults with an external stone staircase. The older type of house has a wooden platform at the entrance, and on the gables there are projections for the bread oven. Beside the houses stand dry-stone animal sheds, mošune, with a forecourt for milking. Circular threshing floors were used for threshing grain.
The ensemble is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-5303.
