About 50 metres east of the Albanež lighthouse, off Premantura in the municipality of Medulin in Istria County, the remains of a merchant sailing ship from the 17th or 18th century lie on the seabed. The place is interesting to divers who want to see what a wreck from the age of sail looks like.

The remains are spread over an area of 100x50 metres, at a depth of 24 to 27 metres. On the seabed three iron cannons two to three metres long and two admiralty-type anchors have been documented. Under the sand parts of the ship's wooden structure were also uncovered, which shows that the hull has not disappeared completely.

The remains are a protected cultural property, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-31.

Data: Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia (Ministry of Culture and Media), Open Licence.
