Church of St Michael, Raslina

In the cemetery in Raslina, near Šibenik, stands the Church of St Michael, a small medieval building from the 14th century. It is interesting to a visitor who is interested in modest but legible sacred architecture of the Šibenik hinterland.

The church is single-nave and correctly oriented. The rectangular apse is as wide as the nave, but has a lower roof. The west facade has a simple door framed by stone doorposts, and above it is a round window, an oculus. The top of the facade is closed off by a bell gable with two openings. On the south wall of the nave are a door identical to the one on the facade and a window to the right of it, and a rectangular window is also cut in the south side of the apse. The roof structure is wooden, covered with channel tiles, in the nave an imitation of a semicircular vault has been made, and the facade wall has a semicircular triumphal arch.

The church is a protected cultural property, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-5501.
