The hamlet of Dolova, in the village of Dolovo in the municipality of Dobrinj on the island of Krk, preserves a rare example of an old way of organising village space. The place is interesting to visitors who want to see how islanders in the past built beside their fields and worked the land.
At the core is a group of single-storey, single-room stone buildings of very small area. They have an outside stone staircase that leads to a vault and a roof covered with channel tiles. The hamlet is located in the open space of arable land, which shows that its layout was determined by the immediate agricultural working environment. By the way the buildings were conceived, the settlement represents a rare surviving example of a once widespread arrangement of rural space on Krk before the 18th and 19th centuries. The ensemble is dated to the 18th and 19th centuries.
The hamlet is a protected cultural property, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code RRI-0326-1973.
