Bogovići is a settlement on the island of Krk, in the municipality of Malinska-Dubašnica in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, and it is worth visiting for its well-preserved traditional village and the landscape around it.
Two complexes stand out in particular: the parish Church of St Apollinaris and the preserved threshing floors and farm buildings, along with several individual traditional and town-style houses. Around the houses, fields enclosed by dry-stone walls still extend, and particularly interesting are the sinkholes (vrtače) arranged in steps along the road in the eastern part of the village. The traditional houses are single- or two-storey buildings with a rectangular plan, a gabled roof with channel tiles, stone skodi and a konoba on the ground floor. The centre of the house was the komin, an open hearth, beside which there was sometimes a bread oven, and sometimes the hearth was set apart in a tornica because of smoke. A few houses have urban features from the 19th and 20th centuries, with profiled cornices, plaster decoration, a courtyard in front of the house and a garden beside the approach path.
The ensemble is a protected cultural property, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-7287.
