Dolovo is an island village in the municipality of Dobrinj, Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. The ethnographic zone includes the village and a wide surrounding area, and for a visitor it is interesting as a landscape in which the centuries-old relationship of people to the land can be seen.
At the centre is the rural ensemble of Dolovo with its closer surroundings. The zone also extends towards the ruined chapel of St George and towards the wayside shrine beside the Kras-Dobrinj road. Fields enclosed by dry-stone walls predominate, and at the same time the zone was a traffic link between the Dobrinj and Vrbnik areas. Judging by the shapes and names of the plots, it is possible that the area has been shaped since the 12th century, even since the arrival of the first Croats on the island in the 5th or 6th century. Oral tradition about the paths says that this was the main link between the Frankopan Gradec and Omišalj.
The zone is a protected cultural property, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code RRI-0367-1975.
