Žgombići is a village on the island of Krk in the municipality of Malinska-Dubašnica, in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. It is suited to those who want to see how a traditional settlement took shape along the main road, among dry-stone walls.
The original compact core of residential rows arose about a hundred metres south of the Romanesque little chapel of St Andrew, and it is still recognisable today by the denser arrangement of buildings. When the main thoroughfare developed, the village stretched along it and began to grow eastwards. The wider area consists of agricultural plots bounded by dry-stone fences, some of which are preserved. Beside the houses and farm buildings there were often threshing floors. The residential houses are mostly single- and two-storey buildings with a rectangular plan, simple facades and a gabled roof. The settlement dates from the 17th century.
Žgombići is a protected cultural property and is entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-7293.
