Nazor House, Bobovišća

The Nazor House stands on the slope of the hill Glava, beside the old path to the village of Ložišće, near Bobovišća, in the municipality of Milna. It is located in Split-Dalmatia County. It is interesting as an example of a fortified village house from the beginning of the 19th century.

The courtyard is enclosed by a high wall with a monumental arched gate, on whose keystone the initials A S E N and the year 1817 are carved, meaning Antonio Stefano eredi Nazor. It is a spacious two-storey house with a high attic, and the roof is gabled, of stone slabs, with dormers. Along the eaves, on semicircular brackets, lies a faceted stone gutter. It was the first house of the Nazor family on Brač after their arrival from Poljica.

The house is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-4327.
