Gligo Castle guards the entrance to the Bobovišća cove on the island of Brač, on its shady side. It is interesting to visitors as an example of a fortified Baroque house by the sea, and it is located in the municipality of Milna in Split-Dalmatia County.
The complex consists of three wings around a spacious courtyard facing the sea. The courtyard is closed by a high defensive wall, along which a stone walkway on vaults has partly been preserved. In the east a square single-storey building with a row of loopholes on the ground floor stands out, part of the Baroque building phase. The building along the south side of the courtyard is the oldest part of the castle: numerous defensive elements can be seen in it, and in the attic Baroque dormer windows. The castle belonged to the Marinčević-Gligo family, mentioned at the end of the 17th century, and served to protect the harbour and the approaches to the island's interior.
It is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-4886.
