The church of St Mary in the cemetery in Gornji Humac, on the island of Brač, keeps a relief triptych by Nikola Firentinac. It is interesting to visitors because of the combination of a pre-Romanesque core and a Baroque extension. It belongs to the municipality of Pučišća in Split-Dalmatia County.
The original little church dates from the pre-Romanesque period, with blind arcades on the side walls. In the 17th century a new church was added to it in the west, so the old building became the sanctuary, enclosed by a high Baroque wrought-iron grille. On the altar stands a stone triptych by Nikola Firentinac showing the Mother of God with the Child, St John and St Peter. Thus in a small building one can see how church space expanded through the centuries.
The church is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-4571.
