The Stipančić Hermitage lies on the southern slopes of Brač, between Bol and Murvica, in Split-Dalmatia County. It is interesting to visitors as a rarely preserved settlement of a hermit community, founded in the second half of the 15th century.
The priest Juraj Dubravčić from Nerežišća built the house in which pious women of that community lived. On the south and east sides the complex is protected by a wide dry-stone wall. Stone two-storey buildings line up one beside another, leaning on the living rock, and begin in the west with a little church dedicated to the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and to Saints Cosmas and Damian. The main façade faces the Dragon's Cave, and on its lintel is the year 1477. The upper part of the gable is plastered and decorated with a relief of a monstrance with a cross, with candlesticks.
The complex is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-4999.
