Church of All Saints, Zagvozd

The church of All Saints in Zagvozd is a small Baroque church in the hinterland of the Makarska littoral. It is interesting because stećci, witnesses of a medieval cemetery, once stood around it. It belongs to the municipality of Zagvozd in Split-Dalmatia County.

It was built in the first half of the 17th century, and according to the inscription above the entrance it was consecrated in 1644. It is single-nave, of small dimensions, with a shallow square apse, and oriented north-south. The façade ends in a triangular gable, at the top of which is a single bell gable of Baroque form. Once there were about twenty stećci around it, and today five have been preserved.

The church is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-3844.
