The church of Saints Cosmas and Damian stands in the field north of Vrbanj on the island of Hvar. It is interesting as one of the older churches in this area. It belongs to the town of Stari Grad in Split-Dalmatia County.
The foundation was created in 1403 by the will of Stipan Bilopopić of Vrbanj. In the 15th century it served as the parish church of Stari Grad, Dol and Vrbanj. At the beginning of the 19th century it was neglected, and in 1888 it was renovated and returned to worship. It is single-nave, built of roughly dressed stone in horizontal courses. The nave has a pointed vault, and the square apse is covered by a barrel vault over a simple cornice. On the axis of the façade is a simple entrance with stone thresholds and a tall masonry bell gable, today without a bell.
The church is a protected cultural good, entered in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia under the code Z-5755.
